The Hanleys Story

Hanleys has come a long way from rag merchant to cleaning industry heavy weight in the last 30 years.

In 1974, Eric and Zelma Hanley established their business of cutting, packing and selling rags for industrial use. The family business was run from their home garage with Zelma keeping the books and Eric making sales and deliveries.

Today, Hanleys is managed by Eric and Zelma's children, Lyndal and Warren. The company employs 25 staff at a purpose built warehouse and office facility at Virginia, and acts as Master Distributor for major brands in the cleaning industry including:
3M, Cleantec, Clorox, Colgate Palmolive, Gojo, Hako, Johnson Diversey, Merino, National Pacific Packaging, Nilfisk Alto, Oates Clean, Pental, Reckitt Benckiser, and SCA Hygiene Australasia.

Hanleys now delivers comprehensive cleaning solutions to government departments, schools, healthcare organisations, aged care facilities, restaurants, hotels, food processing plants, industry and resellers across Queensland.
